How to Flash Xiaomi Firmware using MIUI Fastboot and Recovery ROM
Flashing your Xiaomi Redmi/Mi smartphone with Xiaomi official firmware (MIUI) will help you to fix certain software issues on the phone. It also helps you to get rid of root and all modifications done to your phone system software.
To upgrade, update or fix minor software problems on your phone, flashing via stock Mi recovery is recommended. But for a completely clean and fresh installation of all system files, fastboot method is the way to go. To flash via fastboot though, your Xiaomi smartphone bootloader has to be unlocked first.
Prerequisites
- You need a Xiaomi device with an unlocked bootloader.
- You need a Windows PC with ADB & Fastboot installed.
- Download Latest Mi Flash Tool and Extract it on your PC.
- Download and Install Xiaomi USB drivers.
- We do not recommend you attempt this process without a battery percentage of 70 or more, to avoid any unforeseen shutdowns in the middle of the process.
- You’ll need the fastboot ROM zip for your compatible Xiaomi device.
